The Dorset Archives Trust will have another interesting and varied programme of talks, kicking off with local author Minnette Walters in February.

The team is looking forward to getting hands on with clay and Dorset Buttons in its 'Inspired by Archives' sessions.

The centre is expanding its oral history collections by working with the LGBT+ community in Bournemouth; as well as collecting memories from Holocaust survivors in partnership with Bournemouth's Jewish congregations.

It will also be helping to celebrate significant anniversaries of the Mental Health Forum and Pilsdon Community.

The centre's Heritage Lottery funded project to catalogue and make available the Bankes collection will come to a close late in 2018 - but there's plenty more discoveries to be made before it does.
