A yearly tradition returns to Dorchester tomorrow (20).
The Skimmity Hitchers will headline a triple bill night of live music at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester.
Hugely popular in the west country for their humorous and high-energy take on the Scrumpy and Western genre, the four boys will be taking over town with their blend of razor sharp parodies and home-pressed original material, no doubt with a few surprises and a dancing badger thrown in for good measure.
The hitchers' Corn Exchange gig has become something of a yearly tradition, bringing in large numbers of people from the Dorchester area and further afield. Providing support will be folk-rock festival favourites Imprints and punk youngsters Sinful Maggie.
Now in their eighth year, Skimmity Hitchers continue to attract a growing following based on their unique live show and love for the West Country, about which they sing.
They will be performing on Friday, April 20 at 8pm and the event will be standing only. Tickets are available by contacting Dorchester Arts box office or by going to dorchesterarts.org.uk
