Police were called to the scene of a road traffic accident the A37 outside Dorchester on Friday morning.

At around 8.30 am, officers attended the scene, near the Weirs roundabout between Dorchester and Charminster, of a collision involving a lorry and a car, a silver Peugeot 308. No injuries were reported in the incident, and no ambulance was deployed.

Employees from the county council highways team attended the scene to clear away debris that had been partially blocking the road and causing congestion; the road was fully cleared shortly before 9am.
