Hi readers, what a week it’s been!

It all started when the BBC learned about our Echo column and asked if they could film us for the new series of Inside Out. When we met Jane, the director and Joe, the cameraman, we knew we wanted to work with them as we were all on the same page.

First they filmed our James Bond themed disco. When we said we wanted to try ice skating, they said they’d love to film that too.

We were both nervous about skating for the first time, but not as much as our mums were! To make it safe, the ice rink opened especially for us and we had an instructor each – Gav and Craig. Gav even provided lots of protective gear on Laura’s orders.

I (Adam) thought the ice skate blades would be enormous, like stilts, so was relieved when they weren’t. We were surprised how easy it was to stand up in them too.

So, as free from danger as possible, it was lights, camera, action – and ‘Camera on Ice’.

Our adrenaline was pumping but the whole team were patient and made us feel relaxed. I (William) leant on a penguin (not a real one,) which made it easier to move round the rink. Jane asked me (Adam) to put some questions to Craig as they filmed us skating.

The atmosphere was great, very high energy. There were lots of laughs afterwards too when I (Adam) made a creamy moustache using my hot chocolate!

It’s good to tick this off our bucket list, though we’d both do it again! We’d like to thank everyone who made this happen, especially the skating team and BBC. We’ll let you know when it’s on Inside Out next year.

Next week come into our Santa’s grotto and discover what we’re doing for Christmas.
