THERE is still time to see artist Charles T Maher's exhibition at White Stones Cafe Gallery at Easton, Portland, which runs until Sunday (5).

The exhibition, Landscape and Seclusion, seeks to highlight the significance of two very special places of local historical interest; Sandsfoot Castle Weymouth and Church Ope Cove Portland.

Charles says of the exhibition: "I have a great depth of feeling for Dorset particularly that of this sacred isle and spiritual place that is Portland.

"A sense of which I have endeavoured to communicate through my paintings and through the curation of the exhibition; in which I have tried to convey a sense of exploration, of being simultaneously in two places and time zones, the gallery itself becoming a metaphorical representation of two partial perspectives of ‘time & place’, taking one on a journey of discovery into local anthropological history and trust this is evident and perceived when people come to view it."

Also on show are replicas of Iron Age pottery by Bill Crumbleholme.

The exhibition can be viewed at White Stones, Portland, during opening hours.
