Work is set to resume on the Portland Beach Road, where major roadworks have been causing congestion and delays since January.
The first phase of the works was completed before the Easter break, and the next phase will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, April 4, after a reprieve for motorists over the long bank holiday weekend.

The new phase will see fresh cable pulled through under the road, replacing the cable removed during the first phase. According to the highway authority, this phase will last roughly 10 days, and will see manually controlled temporary traffic lights restricting traffic to one lane only.
