A man was arrested after a 100mph police chase near Wareham last night.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said a driver failed to stop for officers at around 8.20pm on the A351 between Wareham and Corfe Castle.
A 27-year-old Swanage man was later arrested on suspicion of failing to stop when requested by officers and driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
He was released on bail until mid-December.
PC Roan Doyle, of Purbeck Police, said the police pursuit was 'in excess of 100mph'. He asked any witnesses to the incident to call Dorset Police on 101.
