A MAN has been fined after attempting to damage shop windows with a bin.
Dorset Police were called to West Street, Bridport at around 12.45am on Thursday, November 17 after receiving calls that criminal damage was taking place to the windows of Boots and Longs Fish Bar.
A spokesman for Bridport Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “A white male who was intoxicated was seen trying to cause damage to windows of both shops with a large plastic bin.
“Bridport officers attended the scene promptly and detained the male in Victoria Grove. A 26-year-old male suspect was arrested and taken to Weymouth custody for questioning.
“The following morning Joshua Trim from Bridport was issued with a penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly.”
