SIXTEEN strings, eight dancing feet and four voices with one aim - to make classical music funny and exhilarating for all.

Making their debut on the Artsreach touring circuit in Dorset, Graffiti Classics are destined to delight in west Dorset as they embark on a three night tour in early January.

Their tour stops at Portesham Village Hall on Saturday, January 21.

Artsreach co-director Kerry Bartlett said: “Graffiti Classics was formed by a group of young graduates from London’s top musical conservatoires who decided that classical music should be made fun.

"Now, thanks to the support of our funders and partners such as solicitors Blanchards Bailey, we are delighted to be bringing this to Dorset.”

Graffiti Classics aims to burst the elitist boundaries of traditional string quartet with an all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy show. It’s billed as a classical concert, a gypsy-folk romp, an opera, a stand-up comedy set and a dance show all rolled into one.

From Beethoven to Bluegrass, Bach to Brahms, Strauss to Saturday Night Fever, Offenbach to Elvis and well-loved folk tunes – all played with Graffiti Classics virtuosity.

The act will be at Durweston Village Hall on Friday, January 20; Portesham Village Hall on Saturday, January 21 and Corfe Castle Village Hall on Sunday, January 22. For details visit artsreach.co.uk.
