STEVE Day, the country's only deaf comedian, will perform at the Bridport Comedy Café next week.

He is a returning favourite and will headline the March 1 night of stand up entertainment.

Having appeared at the club in 2015, BBC Radio 4 regular Steve Day, a stalwart of the UK comedy scene, has been the loyal audience's most regularly requested act to return.

Steve is a favourite among comedy goers up and down the country and has a never ending stream of tales from his life as a deaf man with teenage kids paving his way in the tricky world of showbiz.

Joining Steve will be a full line up of support acts, including Tom Christian, local comic Niki McCretton and resident MC, Tom Glover.

Tom said: "People ask me when Steve will be back after almost every show so I'm hoping they don't miss it!

"He was one of the country's finest comedians so it's great to have him down and we will have a great line up of support acts as well."

The club runs monthly at the Bridport Art's Centre in the newly refurbished cafe room. The gig is a small intimate affair with limited tickets.

The BAC Comedy Cafe will be at 8pm on Wednesday, March 1. Tickets are available from the arts centre box office.
