A SPECIAL Farmers’ Question Time event is taking place in Bridport tomorrow

Artist Nessie Reid is hosting the session at Bridport Arts Centre at 7pm tomorrow.

Nessie, who now lives in West Wales, lived with two pure-bred Guernsey cows for five days in the heart of Bristol in her project The Milking Parlour to raise awareness to the cost of milk.

There will also be a Cape Farewell exhibition on display that can be viewed before the session in the main Allsop Gallery.

Within the exhibition are three projects from artists who have worked closely with farmers to highlight key issues that relate to food, farming and the environment.

Alongside this, Bridport Arts Centre is showing the film Comrades by Bill Douglas, about the Tolpuddle Martyrs, on Sunday May 14 at 7.30pm.

The final event is a special talk and communal meal at Bridport Arts Centre on Thursday May 25,

It features artists Anne-Marie Culhane and Ruth Levene who will talk about their project A Field of Wheat in which a Lincolnshire community of people collectively bought and looked after a wheat field. This will be followed by a communal meal with bread made from the cultivated wheat in the Cafe Space.

Cape Farewell runs at Bridport Arts Centre until Saturday June 3. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Call the box office for tickets to the Q&A, Comrades screening and the talk and communal meal.
