A MAN who spent four years living in a tent will regale Bridport with his stories.

Mythologist, author and shamanic teacher, Martin Shaw returns to Bridport Story Café on Friday May 19 with the tale of The Lindwurm: ‘Making Room for the Serpent – myth and the nourishing dark’.

It is a rare opportunity to hear this master storyteller in the intimate setting of Bridport Arts Centre café.

Those who have heard Martin before will not need to be reminded of his powerful use of language, his imaginative and reflective telling of the old stories. As with all the best tellers, he has truly ‘walked the stories’ and became a storyteller whilst living for four years in a black tent on the wilder fringes of England. Over the past years his reputation has grown as he travels and teaches internationally. He is the founder of the West Country School of Myth on Dartmoor and now regularly teaches at Schumacher College and in the USA.

The storytelling begins at 7.30pm. The evening is suitable for adults and older children. Tickets are available from Bridport Arts Centre box office.
