TAKE part in a self-guided family walk to stay entertained this summer holiday.

The 5km themed walking trails take place on alternate weeks in Lyme Regis and Charmouth.

Grab your map and passport and venture back into prehistoric history for the Dinosaur Quest an adventure walk in Lyme Regis. Navigate the Jurassic trail by solving clues and taking part in eight dinosaur related fun challenges. There are plenty of activities and tasks on the walk to keep any little explorer busy.

Alternatively the Pirate Adventure is full of piratical mayhem in the beautiful countryside around Charmouth. Trainee pirates are encouraged to test their ‘mettle’ at nine fun swashbuckling pirate challenges along the route and see if they would have what it takes to be a real pirate. Shiver me timbers!

The walks have been devised by Wacky Nation to raise money for the Lyme Slime Halloween Festival which this year will be a week full of events spread around the town during the October half term. Sally Raynes, Event Director at Wacky Nation said “These walks are a great way to have fun together as a family, all joining together to solve puzzles and take part in activities. It also provides a fantastic opportunity to explore picturesque parts of Lyme Regis and Charmouth that you might not normally get to see.”

*Dinosaur Quest in Lyme Regis is on August 1, 3, 15 and 17 August and the Pirate Quest in Charmouth is on August 8, 9, 23 and 24. Walks cost £10 per family and more details, including starting points, are available online at wackynation.com/adventurewalk
