CREATIVE students are being challenged to impress Lady Fellowes of West Stafford with their designs for a logo to support the Dorset County Museum Development Appeal.

The museum is bidding to raise funds for its new £6million Discovery Collections Centre to house its three million artefacts and offer better access to the public and is looking for a logo to promote the appeal.

A spokesman for the museum said: “Your eye catching design should promote the archaeology, geology or natural history of Dorset.”

There will be an added incentive of a prize for the winning entry, which has been donated by Dorchester art store Frank Herring and Sons Ltd.

The competition is open to anyone, including schools and colleges.

Entry forms are available from the Dorset County Museum and need to be completed by Friday, July 4.

Lady Fellowes will be judging the entries on Tuesday, July 22.
