WEYMOUTH: Wyke Coastguard assisted emergency services on Saturday after an 81-year-old collapsed near Weymouth town bridge.
The duty immediate response team were returning to the station when they came across the casualty lying in the road.
The casualty had fallen backwards and badly cut the back of their head.
A member of the Swanage Coastguard was also at the scene assisting the casualty before paramedics arrived.
No update on condition was available as the Echo went to press.
