WEYMOUTH 41 Club is celebrating a very successful charter night which raised £600 for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.
The club’s president Les Brown presented a cheque for the funds to Lt Col Nat Parmley (rtd) from Weldmar at the 41 Club’s Christmas luncheon.
Mr Brown said a major portion of the cash raised came from a charity auction which included lots such as a signed match ball donated by Weymouth Football Club.
He added several other benefactors also helped the club raise hundreds for the charity, including Daish’s Regent Hotel and F1 racing memorabilia company Memento Exclusives.
