STUDENTS from across Weymouth College are putting on a spectacular night of entertainment.

The Inspire Hair Show is returning to the College on Tuesday, March 24.

The night will start with pre-theatre cocktails and canapés at the HIX Academy before settling in at the Bay Theatre for the show.

Julia Cohen, sector area manager for service industries and the HIX Academy is looking forward to seeing the end result of all the students' hard work.

She said:“What an amazing opportunity this is for our students. They’ve worked incredibly hard all year and this event enables them to showcase their skills.

“It’s great that we’re able to involve so many students from across the college and in the past the event has even led to employment opportunities.

“The show has grown year on year and is fast becoming the show that everyone wants to go to.”

Guests will include local businesses who will experience catwalk hair show and a live of final of this year’s hairdressing competition.

Anthony Coleman, a current level 3 hair student is taking part in the competition is hoping to impress the gathering businesses.

He said: “Taking part in the live competition last year was great, but this year is even more exciting as my model is part of the Level 3 Show. It’s really good work experience and I can’t wait to show the salon owners what I can do.”

The night is a chance for local businesses to see what the students have to offer with a photography gallery of the hair and make-up photoshoots taken over the past academic year, and a captivating dance production.

Guests will be welcome to the HIX Academy at 6pm before being taken to the Theatre for the show at 7.30pm for the night of entertainment.
