A CROSS-CHANNEL relationship between two choirs will be celebrated in Weymouth this weekend.

The town's Quangle Wangle Choir and the Ville Beau Choir of Normandy in France are holding a free concert on Sunday, April 26 to mark their 11-year association.

Mayor of Weymouth and Portland Kate Wheller and her consort Michael Wheller will attend the concert, which will also include performances from other singing groups who are friends of the choirs.

The event is being held at the Upwey and Broadwey Memorial Hall in Victoria Avenue from 7.30pm.

All are welcome to attend the concert, which is the highlight of a weekend that also includes singing workshops and fun activities for the two choirs.

There will be a varied programme of music as well as poetry and humour.
