THINGS are about to get loud in Weymouth- more details have been released about a brand new festival for the town.
Out Loud will run across Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28.
Performers will take to five stages across the town in aid of charity.
Organised by the Weymouth and Portland Lions Club together with Weymouth BID, the Out Loud Festival is a free event and has a host of entertainment with something for everyone.
Whether you enjoy the melodic sound of opera or the up tempo tune of a ukulele, rock and roll or jazz; Out Loud Festival is promising it all. Local artists, bands, dancers, choirs and many more are on the line-up.
Billed acts include indie-rock band from Spindlefish and rock-funk band Kung Fu Chicken Fighters from.
Local shanty singers the Dorset Wrecks, WOW and, the voice of cool swing himself, Darron Garnett.
Buskers, morris dancers, face painters amongst other street performers will also be filling the town with music and entertainment.
With the Out Loud Festival stages positioned around the town in New Bond Street, two in St Thomas Street and two in St Mary Street.
Out Loud Festival is the first time the Weymouth BID has delivered an event together with a charity organisation and hope for a successful festival to pioneer future partnerships.
