POLICE are hunting a man alleged to have smashed two shop windows in an incident of vandalism in Weymouth town centre.

Dorset Police have now issued this CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in relation to the criminal damage, which took place between 4am and 4.30am on Tuesday, June 23.

The two incidents occurred along St Mary Street and St Thomas Street.

The suspect approached the Animal shop, before kicking a glass panel on a door and smashing it. He then kicked and smashed a glass door panel at The Shirt Shack.

The man is described as white, in his mid twenties, of small to medium build and around five feet seven inches in height.

He was wearing a polo-style shirt and jeans.

Inspector Pete Browning, of Weymouth police, said: “I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of the person I would like to speak to in relation to this incident.

“Although I appreciate it might be difficult to make out the exact details of the person pictured, I would like to speak to anyone who may be able to identify the man by his features, build or stance.”
