CUDDLYfriends could end up anywhere in the country when they are raffled off to happy campers for charity.

Dorset Blind Association needs donations of pre-loved cuddly toys for its Teddy Tombola.

The draw takes place at Camp Bestival, held in the grounds of Lulworth Castle between July 30 and August 2.

Wilfrid Weld, the charity's president, opens the grounds of his estate to 30,000 festival goers each year.

Last year the charity raised £1,500 for Dorset's blind and partially sighted people at Camp Bestival and its fundraisers have high hopes for this year.

The charity relies on fundraising to provide essential services and needs to raise £385,000 per year. It currently supports 1,000 people a month with emotional and practical help to live full and happy lives. There are many more who need their help.

The festival attracts lots of families and Dorset Blind Association would benefit from donations of teddy bears or cuddly toys that can be re-homed via its teddy tombola.

Duck toys are particularly welcome, as the charity's mascot is the DBA Duckling, whose escapades you can follow on social media.

Laura Wardman, fundraiser at Dorset Blind Association said: "We are really excited to be going to Camp Bestival this year with our charity stall and we have lots of creative and fun activities for the attendees to take part in".
