POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a spate of shed break-ins in the Broadwey area of Weymouth.
In the first break in an expensive mobility scooter was stolen from a garden shed before being dumped in a ditch.
The incident took place at 3.30am on Friday, July 24 when a white man wearing a baseball hat was seen to break into a garden shed on Broadwey Close.
Police have said the lock on the shed was cut off and an expensive mobility scooter was stolen.
The second incident took place between 10pm on Wednesday, July 23 and 7am the following day.
Offenders broke into a shed in a walled garden of a property in The Finches, Broadwey and stole a number of tools and equipment.
Items stolen include a Hitachi cordless drill in a black case with green locks, a socket set in a black case and a black and yellow Stanley screwdriver set.
A witness appeal has now been issued by police in a bid to find those responsible for the break-ins.
