PRE-booked appointments will now be available on Mondays at Citizens Advice Weymouth and Portland.

The service takes effect from Monday, September 14.

Manager Bob Bullin said: “We open for drop-in sessions every morning as well as Thursday afternoons and evenings but if people need more help they need to book an appointment.

“The waiting time for pre-booked appointments is currently less than a week but opening on an additional afternoon will enable us to reduce that still further, so we will be able to help clients resolve their problems even more swiftly.”

Anyone who books an appointment and is then unable to attend is asked to let the Citizens Advice know as soon as possible so the slot can be offered to someone else.

To book an appointment, or for telephone advice, call the Dorset Adviceline on 03442451291. It is open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

The service is also looking for new volunteers. People are needed to help with offering advice and for administrative tasks.

Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to call 01305 770325.
