WEYMOUTH'S Topps Tiles are celebrating raising more than £200 in their charity walk for Macmillan.

Staff, including manager and assistant manager, walked 10.7 miles from Dorchester to Weymouth.

Store manager at Weymouth Topps Tiles, Carolyn Paull, said: "The walk went really well. We left Dorchester at 4.35pm and got into Weymouth at 7.30pm.

"It was nice and sunny so thankfully we had the weather on our side.

"We managed to raise more than £200 for Macmillan and I would like to thank everyone who donated - friends, family and our traders.

"Topps Tiles always has a charity to support and not its Macmillan; we have just signed to support them for the next five years and prior to that we supported Help for Heroes for seven years.

"I have always done a bit of charity work and thought this was a simple way to raise money.

"I had to persuade them a little - they nearly died when they heard it was a ten mile walk, but we did it.

"Raising money is something we are all very passionate about."
