EVERYONE is invited to a charity festival in memory of a ‘bubbly, vibrant’ young woman who loved to party.

Family and friends will be hosting the special festival in June in memory of Ella Pallister – who was sadly fatally injured in a show-jumping accident at the age of 17 in 2013.

This summer Ella would have celebrated her 21st birthday on June 22 and to mark the occasion, her family and friends will be throwing a huge party in her honour that weekend, Ella Fest, and everyone is invited.

Her supporters, known as Team Ella P, wanted to make the day as special celebration of the young woman who “always had a giggle in her voice.”

The festival on Saturday, June 25, will be in Ella’s home village of Portesham, in the field across from where Olds Garage used to be. There will be a bar, stalls, food and children’s entertainment and so far, eight bands are taking to the stage throughout the day.

These include The Leggomen and Slipstream.

The festival will open at 2pm and the final act will finish by 10.30pm. Team Ella P will be raising money in Ella’s memory for the Dorset Air Ambulance. Over the past three years Team Ella P have raised £27,678 for the good cause.

Team Ella P said they are hoping that everyone will get involved in the special day and help them celebrate Ella’s birthday in style.

Brenda Parker, 65, has known Ella and her family since Ella’s mum was five years old. Miss Parker, or ‘Brenna’ as Ella nicknamed her, encouraged everyone to get involved in the party.

She said the team had been thinking of ways to mark Ella’s birthday and the idea of a music festival was suggested, so Ella Fest was born.

She said: “We want as many people as possible to come and celebrate. She was a real party girl – she loved a party.”

She added: “She was such a bubbly, vibrant person. She had a nickname for everybody. There was a giggle in her voice all the time. She was such a good girl- such a good, lovely girl.”

Tickets for the event are available from the Kings Arms pub in Portesham. They are £10 each and under-fives go for free. Tickets can also be purchased by emailing info@gorselands.co.uk
