FLARES and platforms at the ready for when the awesome foursome come to town for a popular tribute show.

ABBA Revival will be at Weymouth Pavilion on Saturday August 20 from 7.30pm.

The British tribute act has recently played a 12 date tour in Scandinavia, show promoter Pete Tobit said.

“The cast have been on a coals-to-Newcastle adventure playing in Sweden.

“It’s actually extremely daunting for a British ABBA show to play Scandinavia. Theatre audiences there are very discerning.”

Pete says that often many people in an auditorium have seen Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Frida perform live, so expectation is high.

“If a show doesn’t cut it,” he says, “they take it as an insult to their musical heritage.

“I’m pleased to report the show earned a standing ovation each night.”

ABBA Revival promises to bring to life Agnetha and Frida’s legendary harmonies, Bjorn and Benny’s marvellous musicianship, those gloriously sequin-studded costumes and platform boot-pounding dance routines.

Pete added: “It's all wrapped up in the best night out you’ll have this year.”

The show includes the million-selling hits like Dancing Queen; Super Trouper; Waterloo; Knowing Me, Knowing You; The Winner Takes It All; I Have A Dream; Chiquitita; Lay All Your Love On Me; Fernando; Mamma Mia; Voulez Vous; The Name of the Game; Take A Chance on Me; One of Us; Gimme, Gimme, Gimme; Thank You for the Music; Money, Money, Money; SOS; Does Your Mother Know; Ring Ring; Honey Honey and Summer Night City.

Pete claims that if ABBA had had any more hits, it would never all fit into one show.
