A FAMILY attraction is set to get a brand new outdoor adventure playground worth £500,000.

Caribbean Cove at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park will be unveiled in spring and is set to be Dorset’s largest outdoor adventure playground.

As well as offering a family experience, visitors will be able to learn about the importance of marine conservation.

Tamsin Mutton-Mcknight, general manager of Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park said: “This year is set to be a really great year thanks to the opening of Caribbean Cove. We are so excited to be able to make this investment and give back to the local community.

"At Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park, we are dedicated to educating our guests on marine conservation and we are looking forward to continuing to do so using Caribbean Cove as a new and exciting guest experience.”

Youngsters can play and explore the Cove, and become a Sea Life ranger, helping Tyler the Turtle find and protect sea turtle eggs. They can also learn why seagrass is such a vital habitat and discover the damage plastic does to the marine environment.

The news comes as the Dorset Echo is experiencing unprecedented demand for our annual Sea Life pass offer.

The redemption period has been extended due to demand.

Passes will be on sale this Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm.

You will need to have your tokens and entry forms completed as SEA LIFE no longer have copies available of these to purchase. For those who need to buy back copies of the Echo in order to collect the tokens, these will only be available from our office on the Granby Industrial Estate from 10am-3pm on weekdays.

Passes are no longer available for pre-order on the website.
