Residents have been asked to keep their handbags safe.
Weymouth Neighbourhood Policing Team have warned residents to keep their handbags close after an increase in reports of handbags being stolen in Weymouth.
They have asked people not to leave them unattended or in a trolley when out shopping or in a cafe.
Any suspicious behaviour should be reported on 101 or online at the Dorset Police website. If a crime has been committed, phone 999.
