DON’T miss out on the opportunity to let your business shine!

The Dorset Echo Industry Awards aim to celebrate the best achievements and innovations of the business sector in the DT postcode area.

The closing date is now looming and businesses are being encouraged to make sure they don't miss out of the opportunity to shout about the great things they are doing.

Judges are particularly looking for entries in the best contribution to local tourism, best woman in business and best dining provider categories.

All nominee entries must be in by May 1.

There is an award to cover all businesses, so there’s no excuse not to set pen to paper and enter.

All finalists will be invited to the Industry Awards ceremony at Weymouth College on Friday, June 16, where the winners will be announced. The winners of each category will each receive £100, a trophy and a bottle Langham Wine.

This year’s event is kindly sponsored by Skyline, Weymouth College, HIX and Langham Wines and this year there are 11 categories for businesses in the DT postcode to enter.

Dorset Echo Editor Diarmuid Macdonagh said: “These awards celebrate and showcase the best of business in this area.

“We believe it is important to highlight the many companies, across myriad sectors, which make such a huge contribution to our economy.

“There are innovative industries, both big and small, operating in fields from food to fashion, tourism to technology, employing thousands of people, exporting around the world or helping to attract visitors to our county and we aim to celebrate their achievements with these prestigious awards.”

The categories include:

n Best Overall Retailer (sponsored by Fleetline)

n Best Customer Service Provider (sponsored by the Dorset Echo)

n Best Social Media Marketing (sponsored by Sherrens)
