LOOKING BACK: The Carolyn Cousins
CAN anyone help Looking Back reader Matthew Solomons find out more information about his late mother's time as Miss Weymouth in 1953?
His mum, Dora Solomons, nee Hawthorn, was also in a touring variety show called Harry Lester and his Heyseeds where she was in two acts, The Carolyn Cousins and The Farmer's 12 Beautiful Daughters. He believes this show was on tour in Weymouth when Dora entered the beauty pageant.
In this photo from a billboard poster you can see Dora on the left, next to her sister Christina Hawthorn.
