Weymouth Marks and Spencer has raised thousands of pounds for the RNLI.
The upmarket shop spent the last year raising funds for the charity, as its nominated charity of the year, and managed to raise a whopping £4,867 to help the RNLI continue saving lives at sea.
Marks and Spencer staff raised the money by holding raffles, cake sales and sponsored events, by bag packing and by placing collection buckets at their tills for customers to put loose change into.
Marks & Spencer staff members Hazel Coleman and James Mildenstein handed over the cheque to Weymouth lifeboat Coxswain Andy Sargent and lifeboat fundraiser Teresa Drage when they visited the lifeboat station on Tuesday, August 8.
As a way of thanking the Marks and Spencer staff for their amazing hard work and for raising so much money, Andy presented Hazel and James with a framed photo of Weymouth lifeboat.
