AFTER three decades of touring, That’ll Be The Day, is back on the road and ready to rock and roll through the golden age of music in Weymouth.

The popular variety show is highly acclaimed for its ability to evoke nostalgia with live entertainment and will be entertaining crowds with a brand new production of comedy and classic hits from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s.

Originally established on the cabaret circuit in the late 1980s, the show began playing regional theatres in the early 1990s. Now it performs more than 200 shows a year across the UK.

Trevor Payne (who first created the show back in 1986) still directs, produces and stars in the production today.

Each year Trevor rewrites all the material for the show and over six months is taken in planning and preparation.

The show is also a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish UK - the charity which grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

Now entering its third year of collecting, That’ll Be The Day is delighted to have raised more than £180,000 in donations from generous audiences across the country.

The show’s Trevor Payne said: “We are truly delighted to be supporting Make-A-Wish. The tireless work they do with children across the UK is inspirational and we look forward to a long and fruitful association with this amazing charity.”

That’ll Be The Day is at Weymouth Pavilion on September 26. It is also at Bournemouth Pavilion from now until Saturday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 13 to Saturday, 16 September.
