*PIANIST Lucy Parham will be joined by narrators Dame Harriet Walter and Guy Paul to perform a special concert in words and music on Sunday in Dorchester Corn Exchange on Sunday, October 22 at 8pm.

Acknowledged as one of Britain’s finest pianists, Lucy Parham has imaginatively scripted and adapted Nocturne from letters and diaries to create a sensitive portrait of the romantic life of one the greatest and most popular composers for solo piano – Frédéric Chopin.

*MEAT Loaf fans will see their rock and roll dreams come true when tribute act Peter Young takes to the stage at Weymouth Pavilion tomorrow at 7.30pm.

The unique musicianship of this eight piece live band, complete with Jim Steinman (Will Massey) on piano, will transport you to another world. Call the box office for tickets.

*TOMORROW at 7.30pm join the BSO’s Principal Wind Players for a concert of diverse wind quintet repertoire in an intimate chamber music setting at St Peter's West Knighton C of E Church, Dorchester.

Five principal players of the BSO will perform a variety of works spanning from the Baroque era to the present day in a beautiful, rural, intimate setting.

Opening this Wind Serenade concert will be German composer Franz Danzi’s Wind Quintet in B-Flat Major.The quintet demonstrates the influence of the works of French composer Anton Reicha who made this combination of instruments popular with his virtuosic wind quintets published between 1811 and 1820. *KNOW your onions with the arrival of the Onion Jack Festival in West Bay this weekend.

This festival celebrates the French "Onion Johnnies", the Breton travelling door-to-door onion sellers.

Starting today, enjoy French-themed performances, Breton market stalls and food and live music. On Sunday there will be a procession of cycling Johnnies and a parade of Breton horse pulling loaded carts. See theonionjack.wixsite.com/festival for more information.

*HEDGEHOG Day returns to Poundbury Garden Centre tomorrow (21) between 10am and 4pm.

Gardeners of all ages will have an opportunity to learn about these prickly creatures.

*A SEARCH for the truth comes to Milborne St Andrew Village Hall near Dorchester on Sunday evening.
