ESTONIAN folk music will be turned on its head tomorrow.

Trad.Attack! will perform at Bridport Arts Centre, delivering fresh folk music from Estonia — friendly, passionate, powerful, dynamic, cheerful and true to its roots.

Combining the bagpipe playing and vocals of Sandra Vabarna, virtuoso guitar of Jalmar Vabarna and inventive percussion of Tõnu Tubli, the trio take their inspiration from old archive recordings of Estonian traditional songs.

The turbo-charged folkies escalated to national fame in their home country because of their fusion of traditional themes, modern production ideas and a relentlessly energetic stage presence.

The trio’s second album Shimmer Gold was released in May and they have been electrifying audiences at this year’s UK summer festivals.

Expect a punchy and rousing show - you’ll be surprised by their unique outlook to their music. Trad. Attack! is a 21st century Nordic folk band who thrill.

They are the winner of Estonian Ethno Music Awards 2015 for best band, best album and best song.
