A man arrested in connection with a reported rape on Weymouth beach has been released without charge.
At approximately 4.15am on Tuesday, July 4 2017, officers were called to The Esplanade following a report of a sexual assault on a local woman aged in her 40s.
A 32-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of rape but he has now been released without charge.
A statement from Dorset Police said detectives were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
