A man has been charged with a Weymouth burglary which saw a handbag and credit card stolen.
The burglary was reported in the evening of February 21 this year at an address in Milton Crescent, off Dorchester Road. The offender allegedly entered the house through an insecure door - with the occupants at home - and stole a handbag containing the victim's purse, which in turn contained a credit card.
Further enquiries established that the victim's bank card had reportedly been used at four locations in Weymouth later the same evening.
The suspect, a 46-year-old man from Weymouth, has been charged with one count of burglary and four of fraud by false representation. He has appeared at Weymouth Magistrates' Court, and will appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, June 14.
