WALKERS turned out in force for a Bluebell Walk with a difference to raise money for South Bromley Hospiscare.
The biggest fundraising event in the charity's calendar was postponed for six months because of the food and mouth crisis, so there was not a bluebell to be seen on the route.
More than 200 walkers took part, including Mayor John Holbrook and his wife.
Hospiscare director Lynn Guthrie said: “The delay didn't dampen the spirit of the day. It was good to see so many people taking part, many with their families.
“We hope to have raised more than £6,000 to help with the running costs.”
