Firemen praised for long service

A LEADING firefighter from Beckenham is one of several London officers to have long service recognised by the brigade.
Simon Morris, who lives in Bromley, was presented with his award for 20 years' service by London Fire Brigade commissioner Brian Robertson.
The event, at the brigade's training centre in Southwark, was held last night (Tuesday).
More than 30 other officers from across the capital were also honoured.
A spokesman for the brigade said: “Every one of the medal recipients have demonstrated exemplary character and conduct throughout their career.”
