Talk on American art

11:34am Wednesday 10th October 2001

The Radlett Art Society is holding a lecture next week about American painters who have contributed to art outside their native country.

In the The Ex-Pats: American Painters in Europe, lecturer Donald Wratten's subjects will range from Benjamin West, the favourite painter of George III, to followers of Claude Monet who set up an American colony around Giverny.

The lecture takes place at 7.45pm, next Wednesday, October 17, at The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett. Entry costs £3 for non-society members.
