Health services encouraged to join CEN

An advice centre which promotes the environmental, economic and health benefits of improving energy efficiency is proposing the borough's health services harness its good work.
In an attempt to improve benefits in all three areas, not for profit organisation Croydon Energy Network (CEN), is contacting Croydon's Primary Care Groups with a view to teaming up on helping the borough's old and vulnerable heat their homes and cut their fuel bills. CEN wants healthcare professionals to routinely refer the needy to its services. CEN is an independent body which links residents with energy efficient glaziers, insulation and heating specialists, it also assesses pensioners and those on low incomes for energy saver grants.
