Dorchester Police are warning people about a spate of thefts of alloy wheels in the town.

Officers say they have seen a number of incidents over the last few weeks where the alloy wheels have been taken.

A spokesman for Dorchester Police said: “This has been targeted towards both private vehicles parked in secluded locations and those belonging to commercial premises such as on car showroom forecourts.

“Simple preventative measures such as fitting locking wheel nuts will help to deter the thieves and we ask that you remain vigilant and to call us if you notice anything suspicious in your neighbourhood.”

Anyone spotting anything suspicious should call Dorset Police on 101.
