FUEL was stolen from a refuse collection lorry at the Dorset Waste Partnership (DWP) depot in Poundbury.

Offenders entered the secure compound by climbing over the fence before siphoning off between 50 and 75 litres of fuel from a refuse collection lorry owned by DWP.

The incident took place between 4.30pm on Friday, February 20 and 7am on Monday, February 23, and police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them regarding the theft.

Police Inspector Steve Marsh, of Dorchester Police, said: “I would like anyone who may have witnessed somebody carrying fuel containers to and from the scene or who has any other information to contact police, in confidence, on 101.”
