POLICE investigating a crash in Weymouth which closed Preston Road this afternoon are appealing for witnesses.
The three vehicle injury collision happened about 2.30pm just north of Heron Close.
The cars involved were a Subaru Forrester, Ford Focus and an Audi A4.
The two occupants of the Subaru, the 71-year-old male driver and 70-year-old female front seat passenger, are from Weymouth and the two occupants of the Ford, the 90-year-old male driver and 86-year-old female front seat passenger, are from Bournemouth. All were taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Audi was a 52-year-old man from Weymouth. This vehicle did not sustain any damage.
The road was closed for a couple of hours while officers investigated the collision and arranged recovery of the vehicles.
Witnessed to the collision are asked to contact Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit in Weymouth.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 25:223.
