POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a crash on Weymouth relief Road.

The crash took place on A354 between Weymouth and Dorchester at around 8am yesterday.

He vehicles involved were a red Honda Civic and a grey Seat Leon, both registered to men from the Weymouth area.

Officers said that two casualties were taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.

The northbound lane was partially blocked, but the road remained open throughout while recovery took place. The road was fully clear at about 10.15am.

Police Constable Sam Verity, of Weymouth police, said: “The incident happened at a busy time of day and I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle to contact police on 101.”
