SNAPPERS in Dorset have captured some amazing images of the lightning that hit the county on Friday night.
Skies over the county were lit up by hundreds of lightning strikes and while most sought shelter, some hardy local photographers were out catching the display on their cameras.
More than 14,000 strikes were recorded in just two hours last night.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said it handled more than 120 calls during that period.
