A MAN had to be cut free after the car he was travelling in was found in a field off the Upton Bypass.
At approximately 8.30pm last night police were called to reports of a single vehicle collision on the A35 after the car left the carriageway and came to rest in an adjacent field.
The man was one of three to be travelling in the black Saab 93 aero heading westbound.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in a critical condition.
His two companions sustained serious injuries. All three were taken from the scene by ambulance.
Dorset Police closed the road for collision investigators but it is now believed to have been reopened.
Anyone with information who may have seen the car before the incident is urged to contact the police on 101 quoting reference 2-404.
