POLICE are appealing for witnesses after charity boxes were stolen from a butcher's shop in Wool.
Police were called to RJ Blake Butcher's on Dorchester Road to the burglary which occurred sometime between 6pm on Sunday, November 22 and 7.25am on Monday, November 23.
A quantity of meat and charity boxes were stolen after offenders forced their way in to the shop.
Charity boxes for Help for Heroes, Sea Scouts and the Royal National Institute for Blind People were taken.
Police Constable Paul Holman, of Purbeck police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between the relevant times to please call me.
“All calls will be treated in strictest confidence.”
Witnesses and anyone with any information should call Dorset Police on 101 and quote incident number 23:45.
