LEGENDARY violinist Peter Knight is coming to Osmington Village Hall tomorrow evening as he presents Gigspanner.

Since his departure from folk-rock pioneers Steeleye Span at the end of 2013, legendary fiddle player Peter Knight has turned his full attention to his trio Gigspanner, and in the process has firmly established their burgeoning reputation as one of the most innovative acts on the folk/roots scene.

Eileen Bramley from Osmington Village Hall said: “This is a really big deal for us.

“To have this class of live music in a village hall is amazing - musicians love it because it’s a friendly, intimate venue that really allows them to connect with their audience, and the audience just sit and soak it all up - it’s a pretty special experience."

“We’ve already hosted Howden Jones, Phil Beer (of Show of Hands), Miranda Sykes, Rex Preston and Grant Gordy and, with Gigspanner in November and Steve Knightley (the other half of Show of Hands) on January 22, we are really hitting the heights of folk and acoustic music.”

Gigspanner will be performing at Osmington Village Hall on Friday, November 27. Doors will be open from 7.30pm with the trio starting at 8pm.

Tickets cost £14 and free parking is available.
