WEST Dorset MP Oliver Letwin will argue the case for Britain remaining in the EU at an event tomorrow.

Weymouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Dorchester Chamber of Commerce has organised a members and guests only event to allow the remain case to be presented.

It will take place at the Wessex Royale Hotel in Dorchester from 10.30am-12.30pm on Saturday, May 28.

The chamber says the aim is to give people a better understanding of the issues before voting in the EU referendum on the June 23.

It is open to members and guests of the chambers of Weymouth and Portland, Dorchester and Bridport in Dorset.

The chamber organised a leve EU event at Weymouth Pavilion earlier this month.

It is organising a public 'remain' event at Weymouth College in June.

Shenis Cant, Vice President of Weymouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce said: “Across our two events, we’re providing a balanced look at the EU debate and we are hoping to bring another EU remain event that will be open to the public.”

Steve Bulley, President of the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce said: “The chambers have adopted a neutral stance in the debate and will not be campaigning for either of the potential outcomes”.

The event is free to members and guests who can register via wpchamber.co.uk
