Motorists are urged to take extra care while driving this morning due to thick fog.
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for fog for Dorset which is valid until 10am today.
The warning, which was issued last night, says: "Please be aware that low visibility could lead to extended journey times and difficult driving conditions in places."
A spokesperson for the Met Office said last night: "Under clearing skies, patchy fog is expected to develop during Wednesday evening, initially in rural areas, but becoming more extensive across southern parts of England overnight, both at low levels and on hills.
"Visibilities will be very variable, but as low as 50-100 metres in places.
The warning is the second to be issued this week for fog.
The first was in place between 10pm on Tuesday night and 10am on Wednesday morning.
A plane that was due to land at Bournemouth Airport had to be diverted to London Gatwick due to thick fog.
Weymouth Football Club's match on Tuesday evening also had to be called off due to the conditions.
